reflects the essence of your desire, which means, you convert your
affirmation into a specific instruction your unconscious mind is able
to understand and willing to work to achieve. It is important you do
not dwell on the negatives, because you do not want to train your
unconscious mind to think negatively. Always look beyond the
negatives and make sure your affirmation statements are totally
positive.
3. Sooner or later you will begin to understand the importance of
relaxation in the process of self hypnosis, so it would be a good thing
if you were to use the first minutes of your self hypnotic session to
get as relaxed as possible.
4. You may want to consider beginning your self hypnosis session by
priming your mind with your primary affirmation so your unconscious
mind will be aware of where you want it to focus and the outcome you
are looking for.
5. Throughout your day, as your conscious mind thinks about your goal
and the desired outcome you are looking for, take a moment to repeat
the specific affirmation statement for reinforcement to the unconscious
mind.
Remember, your success towards self improvement will be directly linked
to the extent you are willing to daily commit to setting aside time for
this process.
It would be a good thing if you measured your progress by asking the
question, "Am I closer to my goal now than I was before I started?"
This is the only way you can find out if what you are doing is really
helping you achieve your self improvement goals.
